Everybody knows Monferrato for good cooking, for its hills and fabulous landscapes, and for its good wines.
For all these reasons, the famous Canadian sommelier Veronique Rivest, visited this Region at the beginning of February. She is the winner of several international competitions, and she was also rewarded with the second place at the International Contest as Best sommelier, that took place in Tokio in 2013.
During her visit, she went to Ca’ San Sebastiano, a wine resort in the little village of Castel San Pietro, where she met Maurizio Vellano, the owner of the wine resort.
Ca’ san Sebastiano is a resort known for its spa, a place of interest for people looking for rest and relaxation, where it is also possible to taste the good wines produced by the wine-producing holding Pierino Vellano. The Vellano family is in the wine business for four generations, and Veronique Rivest chose to taste these wines, highly linked to Monferrato tradition.
